Emma and Austin went to high school together.
The rest could be history, but it really just got (way) better from there.
(Technically, we all went to high school together, but that's not the important part.)
The important part is that now, years later, Emma and Austin are engaged and planning their dream wedding day and embarking on the greatest adventure of building a life together.
I was so ecstatic when Emma reached out to plan their engagement session, and after going back and forth on several different locations, we finally landed on Goat Hill Overlook in Lambertville, NJ.
I have lived near Lambertville, NJ my whole life and have seen images of Goat Hill Overlook forever, but had never been before - so having this opportunity to visit while also capturing these moments for Emma & Austin was so special! As we walked up to the overlook, Emma told me that one of the first times they hung out and had a picnic was visiting Goat Hill.
Obviously, it went well.
Goat Hill Overlook is a surprisingly short and easy hike up to a beautiful vista overlooking the New Hope - Lambertville bridge and the Delaware River. Both of these towns are so lovely in and of themselves, and the overlook absolutely did not disappoint (even in the middle of February!)
The night of their session was cold.
It was a cold and cloudy and snowy day.
It is always about 1000 times harder to relax and get comfortable and feel cute in front of a camera when it is literally freezing outside, but in case you can't tell by their contagious smiles - clearly these two crushed it. They were phenomenal.
Emma & Austin, it was so wonderful to see you both again and capture such a special time in your lives together.
