Longwood Gardens is a local masterpiece.
Located just about an hour away from downtown Philadelphia, PA, Longwood Gardens is an incredibly designed landscape bursting with florals, unique foliage, beautiful European-inspired architecture and an incredibly elaborate and mesmerizing fountain system. This versatile location is one of my favorites for engagement sessions, in part due to the simply gorgeous environment, but also due to the ever changing nature of the gardens. The landscape and gardens are constantly changing with the seasons as new plants bloom and grow, and their design throughout the year is always truly masterful.
While there is no fee for photographing within Longwood Gardens, there is an entrance fee and timed tickets that need to be purchased in advance. This is super easy to accomplish through their website!
I was over the moon when Kayla & Eric decided to do their engagement session at Longwood Gardens. We had the most beautiful June afternoon - the sun was bright but not too hot, and the gardens were incredibly peaceful on our quiet Monday afternoon.
We wandered the gardens for a while, between lush greens and dancing fountains and wild wisteria, talking about their love story and plans for their wedding celebration next year.
After exploring outside, we snuck inside the conservatory for a few more greenhouse-vibes. The light and shadows were so dramatic inside, and the foliage was simply breathtaking.
